Uganda’s largest tourism event, the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (Poate), is scheduled from Wednesday – 21st May to Saturday – 24th May at Speke Resort, Munyonyo.
Now in its ninth edition, it will host over 100 travel buyers and local operators to promote Uganda’s attractions, including wildlife, gorilla trekking, the Nile, and diverse cultures. The event aims to boost international tourism and highlight sustainable practices, with the theme “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation.”
The President is expected to open the expo, which features panel discussions, networking, marketing, and the cultural Pearl Festival. Uganda’s rich tourism potential, including the Big Five, mountain gorillas, and adventure activities, is being showcased to both regional and international audiences.
