Uganda will host the 2025 11th UNESCO Africa Engineering Week and Conference from September 14-20 at Speke Resort, Munyonyo. The event will focus on “Leveraging Engineering Innovations and Technology to Accelerate Africa’s Socio-Economic Transformation,” bringing engineers, policymakers, and stakeholders together to share knowledge, showcase advancements, and address engineering challenges.
The week promotes the engineering profession’s role in sustainable development, STEM education, and Africa’s future growth. Activities will include workshops, public awareness, mentoring, technical sessions, and networking, aligning with the African Union’s Agenda 2063.
The event positions Uganda as a premier conference destination, offering a platform for dialogue, innovation, and showcasing the country’s hospitality. Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) and Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE) are collaborating to ensure a successful event, welcoming delegates from across Africa.
