Uganda Airlines has officially launched direct flights to London Gatwick. The Airline launched its direct route between Entebbe Uganda and London Gatwick, marking a significant milestone in Uganda’s aviation, tourism growth and trade development.
Operating four times weekly with Airbus A330-800neo aircraft, the route connects Uganda to one of Europe’s key hubs, enhancing tourism, trade, and diaspora links.
The flight supports Uganda’s Vision 2040, promotes sustainable aviation, and is expected to boost UK-Uganda trade, valued at around £600 million annually. The launch coincides with the East Africa Trade and Investment Forum in London, reflecting Uganda’s broader economic ambitions and efforts to increase its global reach.
