Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and return to Kigali

Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park

You will leave Kigali after breakfast from a hotel and set off for your Kigali city expedition. Places to expect to visit during your city tour include the Kigali or Gisozi genocide site which gives insight into what happened during the 1994 Rwanda genocide; other closest historic sites, craft markets and many more.

After a fun-filled Kigali city tour, head to Parc National des Volcans in Northwestern Rwanda, about 2 to 3 hours’ drive. En-route, don’t miss the amazing view of Rwanda’s rolling hills that best describe it the Land a Thousand Hills. Get to the park early then check in at gorilla safari you booked to relax and spend a night as you wait for actual gorilla trekking adventure the next day.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and return to Kigali

Have an early morning breakfast and after, leave your gorilla safari lodge for briefing at Kinigi as early as 7:00am. Get to know some of the dos and don’ts to follow on gorilla trek.
