The Mbale Satellite Zoo, which aims at enhancing & boosting tourism and environmental education in Uganda, is about 90% complete. The Parliament’s Tourism Committee praised the progress and plans to replicate similar projects nationwide.
With a cost of Shs. 6 billion, Uganda Wildlife Authority has spent Shs. 5 billion on key structures, including walls and roads. The zoo will feature diverse wildlife, attracting tourists and providing educational opportunities for children. Located on NFA land in Mutoto, it is expected to stimulate the local economy and create jobs.
