The Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities will host Canadian tour operators, travel agents, and media influencers for a familiarization (FAM) tour from April 9–18, 2026, to strengthen Uganda’s presence in the North American market.
The initiative, endorsed during a stakeholders’ meeting led by Commissioner Vivian Lyazi and proposed by Uganda’s Ambassador to Canada, H.E. Allan Kajik, aims to showcase Uganda’s key tourism offerings, including wildlife, culture, adventure, culinary experiences, and MICE products.
The visit is expected to enhance bilateral tourism cooperation, support the development of market-ready tour packages, and increase tourist arrivals from Canada, with further engagement planned during the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE) in May 2026.
