During a planning meeting, officials emphasized the opportunity to position Arua as a tourism and investment hub, boosting visibility and regional growth.
With over 4,000 guests expected, hotels and service providers are upgrading facilities and preparing tailored packages. Local leaders highlighted the potential for Arua’s rich culture, natural attractions like Ajai Wildlife Reserve, and its strategic location to transform it into a key sustainable tourism destination in northern Uganda. The event is seen as a milestone for tourism-led development across the region.
