African nations will promote tourism at the economic forum, by highlighting tourism investment opportunities within the $300 billion blue economy.
At the Blueinvest Africa forum 2024 in Diani – Kenya, entrepreneurs from 17 countries will pitch projects in coastal tourism, maritime transport, and marine biotechnology.
The EU-backed forum will be hosted by President William Ruto, will focus on eco-resorts, marine conservation, and cultural heritage tours, aiming to capitalize on Africa’s projected tourism market growth to $405 billion by 2030 and boost economic growth and job creation across the continent.
