The Mgahinga gorilla trekking tour introduces you to scenic Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Kisoro district Uganda. Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is a second gorilla trekking safari park in Uganda and it is the only country’s protected area where the endangered mountain gorillas and golden monkeys live in the same habitat. Best known as a place where gold meets silver, this safari park sits in an area of about 33.7sq.km making it also the smallest of Uganda’s ten national parks.

Day 1: Transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
After breakfast, meet your driver guide, and depart for Mgahinga National park. Then proceed to Kisoro-Southwestern Uganda with scenic views of terraced hills, local villages and gardens. Arrive at Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, and transfer to your lodge (HB)

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
After breakfast, transfer to Ntebeko Visitor Centre to be briefed on the dos and don’ts for gorilla trekking. With your packed lunch and bottled water, begin your gorilla trekking adventure with your ranger guide. The park also has several golden monkeys & other wildlife.
Once you locate the gorillas, you have only 1 hour of magical encounter and also take photos.
Gorilla Trekking is unpredictable, and physical fitness is required for this adventure.
Return to your lodge for dinner & overnight (FB)
Day 3: Return to Kampala / Departure
Depart for Kampala / Entebbe / Kigali & transfer to your destination OR connect to your departure flight back home.
