This Lake Mburo Tour takes you for a short wildlife viewing Tour to Uganda’s smallest savannah National Park.  The Park is a home to over 75 species of mammals as well as over 350 species of birds besides its spectacular landscape among others. The numerous Lakes, wetlands, savannah grasslands, rocky landscapes and forest gallery shelter magnificent attractions.

TRIP HIGHLIGHTS:

  • A Boat cruise along Lake Mburo with populations of hippos, Nile crocodiles, antelopes etc.
  • Game viewing opportunities.
  • The Equator experience.

BRIEF ITINERARY:
Day 1: Drive from Kampala, visit the Equator / Royal drum makers &  evening game drive.
Day 2: Guided nature walk and afternoon boat cruise.
Day 3: Morning game drive and return to Kampala

DETAILED ITINERARY:

Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo /Visit Equator Enroute  & evening game drive
Meet your driver guide for your departure to Lake Mburo National park (+/-4hrs). Stop over for the Equator experience, visit the royal drum makers  and continue to Igongo Cultural Center for cultural experience.
After lunch, continue to the Park, arriving late afternoon.

Later, take a game drive, with views of zebras, warthogs, impalas, Topis and buffaloes. Nocturnal wildlife includes leopards, spotted hyenas, bush babies, pottos, and the Verreaux’s eagles among others.
Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight (HB).

Day 2: Guided nature walk & Afternoon boat cruise
After breakfast, take a guided nature walk through some of the Park’s wildlife hot spots where herds of buffaloes, common elands, Defassa waterbucks, zebras, impalas, Topis, bushbucks, warthogs, Hippos and several bird species will be spotted.

In the afternoon, have a boat cruise along Lake Mburo with rich views of the pied kingfishers, African fish eagles, pelicans, malachite kingfishers, rare chances of the shoebill storks, and the grey crowned cranes in addition to the hippos and Nile crocodiles. Later, return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight (FB).

Day 3: Morning game drive / Departure
Early morning breakfast and game drive through some of the Park’s game tracks to a wider view of the wildlife especially the Rothschild giraffes that occupy only certain areas, warthogs, Topis, Impalas, elands, Oribis, Defassa waterbucks and even the Bohor reedbucks among others.
Then, transfer to back to Kampala / Entebbe to next destination.(Breakfast only)
