Extending for over 1442 square kilometers, Kidepo wilderness Park represents extraordinary beauty with an array of wildlife species including the lions, large herds of elephants, buffaloes, leopards, striped hyenas, cheetahs (that are not found in any other Parks of Uganda), spotted hyenas, serval cats, zebras, impalas, Oribis, Uganda Kobs, Topis, warthogs as well as plethora of birds totaling to over 475 species including the rare Ostriches.

Day 1: Flight from Entebbe to Kidepo valley National Park / Afternoon game drive
Day 2: Morning game drive & Cultural visit to the Karamojong community.
Day 3: Fly back to Entebbe


DETAILED ITINERARY:

Day 1: Flight from Entebbe to Kidepo valley National Park / Afternoon game drive
Transfer to Entebbe Airport for a flight to Kidepo Valley National Park. Enjoy the jaw-dropping views of Uganda’s countryside as well as aerial views of the Park before landing in Kidepo Airstrip. On arrival, transfer to your lodge for relaxation & lunch.

In the evening head for a game drive, with opportunity to view lions, leopards, striped hyenas, Jackson’s hartebeests, buffaloes, Rothschild giraffes, Uganda Kobs and beautiful bird species. This park also has nocturnal wildlife species like cheetahs, leopards, lions, striped hyenas, bush babies, pottos, serval cats and even the jackals.
Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight. (LD)

Day 2: Morning & Afternoon game drives & Cultural visit.
Today, take a morning game drive through the Narus Valley (the oasis of the Park) as well as areas around Kanangorok hot springs where unique wildlife and bird species especially the giant Ostriches will be spotted in large numbers. After this rewarding drive, return to the Lodge for lunch and rest.

Later,  visit the nearby Karamojong communities for a wonderful cultural experience. Experience The Manyattas, the traditional cultural dances and traditional dishes of these interesting people.
Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight (FB).

Day 3: Flight to Entebbe.
After breakfast, take a morning game drive before transferring to the Airstrip for your flight to Entebbe Airport. Transfer to your residence OR connect to next destination. (Breakfast only)

A good camera, pair/s of shorts, long pants, long and short-sleeved shirts, swimsuit, pajamas, a wide-brimmed hat, pair of binoculars, a good torch, a backpack, insect repellant, first aid kit, toiletries, sunglasses, sandals/flip-flops, hiking boots, rain jacket and a sweater.
